Building the
foundations…..
Learn the foundations of yoga and take your practice to the next level!
Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, the course is designed to teach
students the correct foundations of Vinyasa yoga. During the 10 week
course we will build on each asana (posture) and the Vinyasa flow. What
follows are the series of postures that will comprise a well-rounded yoga practice.
• Integration series (Presence)
• Sun Salutations (Awakening)
• Warrior Series (Vitality)
• Balance series (Equanimity)
• Triangle series (Grounding)
• Back bending series (Igniting)
• Abdominal series (Stability)
• Hip and Inversion series (Rejuvenation and opening)
• Forward bending and Surrender series (Release and deep rest)
The ideal starting point for people with no yoga experience, or people
wanting to consolidate the basics and move to the next level in their
practice. The course will introduce yoga foundations and systematically
build towards preparing students for level one yoga.

Set in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley is an enchanting 100 acre river property with magnificent sweeping views, charming lodge and cabin accommodation.
The weekend retreat will allow you to immerse yourself in yoga, whilst at the same time enjoying the peace and tranquility of the bush retreat. Whether you are a beginner or have been practicing for a while, this weekend is suitable for all levels. We will cover the foundations of yoga practice and the Vinyasa sequence, learn more about the breath our life force (pranayama) and deep relaxing meditation. You will develop an understanding of core strength (bandhas) and the importance of engaging bandhas throughout your yoga practice. We will enjoy nourishing wholesome food and share great company!
You will also have time to just be present, take time out for bush walking and explore the beautiful surroundings of the retreat, have a swim in the outdoor pool or just relax under the covered pergola and take in the magnificent views!
The weekend retreat will restore balance to your body and mind, completely invigorating the mind, body and soul!
Accommodation: Guest Lodge and Cabins
Guest Lodge
The main guest lodge encompasses two spacious levels with 8 bedrooms (4 with ensuites). The guest Lodge is fully self-contained. The guest lodge adjoins the Dining Hall and covered Pergola with beautiful views over the escarpment.

Cabins
In addition to the main guest lodge, there are self-contained cabins with decks overlooking the natural bushland.

$459 (Early bird $459 if paid in full by 13th February 2009)
$499 if booked and paid after this date.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation will incur a $50 fee. Any cancellations within 2 weeks of retreat will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Getting there:
Nestled between the neighboring regions of Shoalhaven and the Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley is one of the most enchanting and picturesque regions in the state, located less than 2 hours drive from Sydney and Canberra. A full map and directions and arrival time will be provided at time of booking.

Have a Body
Assessment and re-adjust your practice!
Everybody’s body is different, some people have tight hips,
others tight shoulders. It is recommended to have your body
assessed and adapt your practice accordingly.
Through the full body assessment you will come to learn about
your body and it’s limitations, you will be able to re-adjust
your yoga practice to suit your individual needs.
